• Review: Just Flight - Hawker Hunter F.6/FGA.9

    The Hawker Hunter was an early British jet fighter aircraft and one-time world air speed record holder. Just Flight has created a nice version for FSX/P3D with a number of variants and liveries. Reviewer Dale Ashcroft found himself very pleased with the results, finding it to be well detailed, fun to fly and a smooth experience throughout.

    Prepar3D v5 vs X-Plane 11 Vulkan

    So, which is better, the latest Prepar3D v5 or is it X-Plane 11? It's a tough call and daring to even try, but reviewer Michael Hayward wanted to take on the challenge anyway. He looks at all aspects of each sim and compares and contrasts their strengths. Do you agree with his conclusions?

    The Where In The World series challenge from Ron Blehm continues. A lot of people tried last month's challenge, and most were successful.     Aerosoft Gibraltar X - 10 Years On

    Those who have stuck with FS2004 and FSX benefit from the many years that developers have had to make add-ons from these sims. But how well do the older ones hold up? In this review, Michael Hayward looks at Gibraltar X, created by Sim-Wings about ten years ago. Currently published by Aerosoft, he finds that it still holds up well and is well worth a visit.

    Fly With That One Pilot Chick #4

    Author Ron Blehm knows a young woman pilot in Washington State who shares her flight training and flying adventures online and through videos. His idea was that it would be fun for flight simmers to join in on her adventures, flying the same routes and sharing their experiences. A number of people have submitted video responses from flight 3 and we now offer a new flight to try. This time, the challenge is night flying.

    Review: Just Flight - Avro Vulcan B Mk.2

    One of the most noteworthy British aircraft of the cold war era was the graceful delta-winged Avro Vulcan. X-Plane pilots can now fly this plane thanks to Just Flight and Thranda Design. Reviewer Andrew Parish had been very eager to get his hands on this plane, as was not disappointed. He enjoyed the exquisite detail and the absolute joy of flying it.

    Aeroplane Heaven Previews Sabreliner For P3D v4/v5

    The Aeroplane Heaven Sabreliner business jet will be a high definition simulation for P3D v4.5 and v5 only. It will include three versions each with PBR material, authentic detail and super-high definition. It will offer a luxury fitted cabin (60 and 65 models). Also included will be the T39 military version. It is now nearing release and some new screen shots have been offered.

    Inibuilds A300-600 Development Update #6

    iniBuilds has provided news on their progress on their On The Line A300-600R(F) project for X-Plane. They are now finalizing key systems and doing internal testing. Preparing for release includes the opening of an official product page as well as completion of all liveries.

    Deadstick News - More In-Depth Updates Coming

    The team behind Deadstick, the bush flying simulator currently under development, have released a short video update announcing that in response to feedback going forward they will be issuing fewer, but more in depth, updates rather than the currently weekly updates. In addition, they are still recruiting pilots for beta testing.

    New aircraft designer JennAviation announces their first add-on, the Brewster F2A Buffalo for X-Plane 11. The Buffalo served early in WWII with the US Navy and also with Finland and liveries for both are included. It includes a functional 3D cockpit, animated canopy, functioning guns and more.

    Rolling Cumulus - Sim Pulp Magazine - 1936 Survey Flights

    In 2012 Rolling Cumulus published their first pulp-like story here on FlightSim.Com. As you read the story, clues were given on where to fly and what to find. They now announce the release of "SimPulp Magazine" for FSX/P3D with their newest publication 1936 Survey Flight based on several flights checking on weather and eavesdropping on volcanic rumblings to forecast eruptions in far away Indonesia.
